It was a nice service held for Dwight. Hymns were sang in both the Comanche and Kiowa languages. Close friends and relatives were in attendance with a few noted treasure hunters and historians among the mourners.

With the passing of Dwight we lose a small piece of history and a person who kept the forum lively. I'm honored to be able to call Dwight a friend and to have spent time with him in person. To all of his family and friends my prayers are with you.

Though I knew Dwight only through this forum, I will miss him.

His wealth of knowledge and advice he was willing to share, his no bunk attitude and his humour I will remember.

He did what he loved in life, I think. And that is a good thing.

Patty, your dad was liked by many, and had an impact on many. The people he has touched have changed for it, for the better I think. That is one of his legacies, on how in some small way he lives on.

My prayers go to his family, and I am glad his passing was peaceful. He is in a better place now, perhaps raising a bit of ruckus of up there, as he did on occasion here
